De-cluttering not only gives us the visual sense of balance but works on our inner being as well. We cannot possibly be clear when in a cluttered environment – at least not for long.

We need to also look at de-cluttering our minds. We all are subject to information overload and could look at purging the periodicals, emails, FB posts etc to enhance or promote a more calm environment in our minds.

Are your thoughts flitting all over the map? Is it hard to concentrate or prioritize? First look at your environment and follow the tips in the previous post. Then look at what you’re expecting your poor overworked brain to handle. Take a close look at what is important and let the rest float away.

WHEN TO DE-CLUTTER AND/OR DO A CLEARING

  • Rights of passage –graduation, birth, death, marriage
  • New home (to you) – need to eliminate predecessor energy
  • Illness/death
  • After an argument
  • Opening a new business
  • Sudden/unexplained breakages
  • Occupants not being able to communicate clearly
  • Disturbed sleep/appetite
  • Guests suddenly leaving after shorter than expected stay
  • Series of bulbs blowing or unexplained water leakages
  • Computers crashing, electrical/technical equipment acting up
